CIS – Bay Area has a dedicated staff who will do whatever it takes to empower students to stay in school and achieve in life.
Stephanie Hornung has been with Communities in Schools-Bay Area since August 2014. She has her Master’s Degree in Education from UHCL and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at The University of Northern Colorado. After teaching in the CCISD district for 16 years, she is looking forward to empowering her McWhirter Astronauts to reach for the stars. She is ready and willing to assist these rising young stars on their amazing journeys!
Diana Hall has been with Communities In Schools Bay Area since 2011. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Houston and a Master's Degree in Social Work. Diana is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and worked for CIS - Bay Area for five years back in the late 1990s.
Abbie Laird has been with Communities in Schools- Bay Area since August 2014. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. After finishing her degree in December of 2013, Abbie interned with a free health care clinic and was a substitute teacher for grades 6-12.
Clear Creek Intermediate
Priscilla Munoz has been with Communities In Schools since January 2011. She has a Master's of Education in Special Education and a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Texas Women's University. The principal at Clear Creek Intermediate states "Priscilla goes above and beyond to help our students, always thinking with her heart. She motivates her students daily providing them with support and constant positive reinforcement.
League City Elementary
Kaitlyn Thompson has been with Communities In Schools – Bay Area since February 2014. She has a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of Texas in Austin and is currently working on a Master's of Social Work at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Kaitlyn spent a year working at CIS Central Texas and has experience working with refugees in Austin and Houston.
Clear Brook High School
Connie Maldonado recently returned to CIS - Bay Area in August 2013 after a brief stay with Communities In Schools of the Coastal Bend. Connie is a seasoned CIS worker. She worked with CIS - Bay Area from August 2000 through June of 2005 and worked with CIS of Corpus Christ (now CIS of the Coastal Bend) from 2005 through 2013. Connie and her husband Michael have two teenage children and live in League City.
Clear Creek High School
Barbara Stribling has been with Communities In Schools – Bay Area since 2003. She is a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) and is a Nationally Certified Site Coordinator.

Claudette Ronan has been with Communities In Schools – Bay Area since 1997. She is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and was Employee of the Month in September. Her Principal states

Linda Deckert has been with Communities In Schools – Bay Area since 1993. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas and a Masters of Arts and a Masters of Science from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.

Sheila Elilott has been with communities in schools since 2015. She has previous experience in public education as well as work in the area of probation
Barber Middle School
Heather Atkins has been with Communities In Schools since August 2014. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee. Before coming to CIS, Heather was a Court Appointed Advocate for the Harris County Court System in Tennessee. She has also volunteered as a mentor at the Harris County Youth Village and is part of a mentorship/discipleship program at the Carole Young Prison in Dickinson, Texas.
Dunbar Middle School
Stacie Lewis-Roberts has been with Communities In Schools – Bay Area since 2004. Prior to taking a job with CIS – Bay Area she worked with CIS of Galveston County for four years.
McAdams Junior High School
Katina has been with Communities In Schools – Bay Area since 2014. She has a Bachelors Degree in Applied Sociology from Texas Southern University and is a certified elementary school teacher.
Dickinson High School
Jill Wells has been with Communities In Schools – Bay Area since 2012. She has a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Alberta and speaks with a Canadian accent.
